Muse: the brain sensing headband helps you learn the skill to calm and focus your mind.
For those of you who are new to meditation, Muse is a wonderful tool to help you easily step into the practice. For the seasoned meditator, Muse brings new insight to your practice.
Muse detects your brain signals, like a heart monitor senses your heart. It pairs with an app on your smartphone or tablet and gives you valuable real-time feedback during a focused-attention exercise.
The best part of using Muse is that it helps compliment my meditation practice with Omvana.
After I’m done with my daily meditation practice, I do another small exercise with Muse to help measure the level of focus and calmness I have achieved while meditating.
Measuring myself for these 3 minutes a day has helped me truly realize what has distracted me while meditating and prompts me to quickly become more focused.

Muse also stores all of this data for you so that you can see how you are improving over time.
I can see how focused and calm I am during any individual session and can also see my progress over time.
I can use this insight to relate my practice to events in my life.
If I’m unable to focus, the real-time feedback helps me understand when my mind is wandering back to the events in my day, and prompts me to return to my state of focused attention. This feedback is incredibly valuable in improving my meditation practice.
